For the ninth year in a row, Denmark recorded growth in supplies from abroad of lentils, which increased by 6.6% to X tons in 2022. Overall, imports continue to indicate a resilient expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 with an increase of 28%. Imports peaked in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in years to come.

The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when imports increased by 40% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.

Canada (X tons), the Netherlands (X tons) and Turkey (X tons) were the main suppliers of lentil imports to Denmark, with a combined 79% share of total imports. Italy, Germany, Argentina and the UK lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 17%.
