Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 713%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2021, and then shrank notably in the following year.
In value terms, vaccine imports dropped notably to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a buoyant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 420% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X, and then shrank sharply in the following year.
Imports by Country
In 2022, Belgium (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of vaccine to Denmark, accounting for a 42% share of total imports. Moreover, vaccine imports from Belgium exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, France (X tons), twofold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Spain (X tons), with an 8.6% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Belgium amounted to +25.8%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: France (+16.5% per year) and Spain (+66.9% per year).
