In general, exports, however, continue to indicate a perceptible contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when exports increased by 189%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of X litres. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, cider, perry and mead exports soared to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports enjoyed a resilient increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of 199% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2017 to 2021, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In general, imports continue to indicate strong growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 416% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
