Haiti (X tons) was the main destination for exports of domestic, non-electric, cooking or heating appliances from the Dominican Republic, with a 69% share of total exports. Moreover, exports of domestic, non-electric, cooking or heating appliances to Haiti exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, the United States (X tons), ninefold. The third position in this ranking was held by Brazil (X kg), with a 5.8% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume to Haiti totaled -1.0%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the United States (-19.9% per year) and Brazil (+4,764.7% per year).

In value terms, Haiti ($X) remains the key foreign market for domestic, non-electric, cooking or heating appliances exports from the Dominican Republic, comprising 82% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by the United States ($X), with a 4.8% share of total exports. It was followed by Cuba, with a 4.7% share.

In 2021, imports of domestic, non-electric, cooking or heating appliances into the Dominican Republic skyrocketed to X tons, increasing by 41% compared with the year before. Overall, total imports indicated a prominent expansion from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +7.3% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +113.1% against 2015 indices.
