For the third year in a row, the Dominican market for frozen crabs and crabs meat recorded decline in sales value, which decreased by -38.6% to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a resilient increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when imports increased by 622% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
