Imports into the Dominican Republic
After two years of growth, overseas purchases of fructose and fructose syrup decreased by -25.8% to X tons in 2021. In general, imports, however, enjoyed temperate growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 42%. Imports peaked at X tons in 2020, and then contracted sharply in the following year.
In value terms, fructose imports declined to $X in 2021.
