From 2019 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, photographic paper imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a noticeable downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when imports increased by 24%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2021, China (X square meters) constituted the largest supplier of photographic paper to the Dominican Republic, accounting for a 73% share of total imports. Moreover, photographic paper imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, the United States (X square meters), fourfold.
