Imports into the Dominican Republic
Soups imports into the Dominican Republic reached X tons in 2021, stabilizing at 2020 figures. Over the period under review, total imports indicated pronounced growth from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +4.7% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports decreased by -7.9% against 2019 indices. In 2021, Honduras (X tons) constituted the largest soups supplier to the Dominican Republic, with a 42% share of total imports. Moreover, soups imports from Honduras exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Guatemala (X tons), twofold.
