In 2021, after three years of decline, there was significant growth in supplies from abroad of non-mineral or non-aerated waters, when their volume increased by 102% to X litres. Over the period under review, imports posted a resilient increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when imports increased by 134% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X litres in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, non-mineral or non-aerated water imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Overall, imports continue to indicate a resilient increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 with an increase of 138% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
