Almond Market Size in Eastern Asia

The East Asian almond market soared to $X in 2021, growing by 38% against the previous year. In general, consumption saw a strong increase. The level of consumption peaked at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, consumption failed to regain momentum.

Almond Production in Eastern Asia

In value terms, almond production reached $X in 2021 estimated in export price. The total production indicated a measured expansion from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +3.7% over the last nine years. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 when exports increased by 62% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Imports in Eastern Asia

In 2021, almond imports in Eastern Asia surged to X tons, growing by 65% compared with 2020 figures. Overall, imports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, almond imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Total imports indicated a slight increase from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +1.2% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports decreased by -18.3% against 2019 indices.
