The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +3.1% over the period from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 35%. China dominates exports structure, finishing at X units, which was near 90% of total exports in 2022. The following exporters - South Korea (X units) and Japan (X units) - each accounted for an 8.3% share of total exports.

China was also the fastest-growing in terms of the automatic circuit breakers exports, with a CAGR of +10.8% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Japan (+1.7%) displayed positive paces of growth. South Korea experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, circuit breaker imports expanded to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 13%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 an increase of 9.7%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per unit. From 2017 to 2022, the import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, major importing countries recorded the following prices: in Hong Kong SAR ($X per unit) and South Korea ($X per unit), while China ($X per unit) and Japan ($X per unit) were amongst the lowest.
