Benzene Market Size in Eastern Asia

The East Asian benzene market declined modestly to $X in 2022, remaining constant against the previous year. The market value increased at an average annual rate of +2.3% from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. Exports from South Korea increased at an average annual rate of +5.1% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Taiwan (Chinese) (+29.4%) and Japan (+2.2%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Taiwan (Chinese) emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Eastern Asia, with a CAGR of +29.4% from 2012-2022. In 2022, overseas purchases of benzene increased by 9.9% to X tons, rising for the second consecutive year after two years of decline. Overall, imports continue to indicate a buoyant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of 47% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in years to come.

In value terms, benzene imports expanded significantly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports saw a resilient increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 143%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
