It was distantly followed by Hong Kong SAR (X tons), creating a 13% share of total exports. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +2.7% over the period from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In 2021, Hong Kong SAR (X tons), distantly followed by China (X tons), Japan (X tons), South Korea (X tons) and Taiwan (Chinese) (X tons) represented the main importers of computing machinery and parts and accessories thereof, together creating 100% of total imports.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main importing countries, was attained by Taiwan (Chinese) (with a CAGR of +4.1%), while imports for the other leaders experienced a decline in the imports figures.

Based on 2021 figures, computing machinery import price increased by +82.8% against 2015 indices. As a result, import price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
