In value terms, China ($X) remains the largest eye make-up preparations supplier in Eastern Asia, comprising 48% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Japan ($X), with a 20% share of total exports. It was followed by South Korea, with a 20% share.

In China, eye make-up preparations exports increased at an average annual rate of +9.6% over the period from 2012-2022. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Japan (+5.8% per year) and South Korea (+21.4% per year).

Macao SAR, with a CAGR of +36.7%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The import price in Eastern Asia stood at $X per ton in 2022, waning by -3.5% against the previous year. Import price indicated a temperate expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +4.5% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period.
