In value terms, the largest fig supplying countries in Eastern Asia were Hong Kong SAR ($X), China ($X) and Japan ($X), with a combined 92% share of total exports. South Korea and Taiwan (Chinese) lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 7.4%.
Taiwan (Chinese), with a CAGR of +23.9%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, among the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The export price in Eastern Asia stood at $X per ton in 2022, with an increase of 29% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +4.9%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Hong Kong SAR ($X per ton), while Taiwan (Chinese) ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

In value terms, China ($X), Japan ($X) and Hong Kong SAR ($X) constituted the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2022, with a combined 89% share of total imports.
China, with a CAGR of +33.6%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
In 2022, the import price in Eastern Asia amounted to $X per ton, dropping by -4.7% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a abrupt downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 when the import price increased by 13%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per ton. From 2016 to 2022, the import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Japan ($X per ton), while China ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
