Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a pronounced setback. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 an increase of 25%. There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was China ($X per ton), while South Korea ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Imports of jellyfish, dried, salted or in brine, smoked declined to X tons in 2022, shrinking by -11.3% against 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, posted a resilient increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when imports increased by 116% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports of reached the peak figure at X tons in 2021, and then dropped in the following year.
In value terms, imports of jellyfish, dried, salted or in brine, smoked dropped to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, showed buoyant growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 110%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X, and then dropped in the following year.

China was the largest importer of jellyfish, dried, salted or in brine, smoked in Eastern Asia, with the volume of imports resulting at X tons, which was approx. 61% of total imports in 2022.
