In 2021, the East Asian electroplating machine market increased by 5.3% to $X, rising for the third consecutive year after two years of decline. In general, consumption, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The volume of export peaked at X units in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In general, imports posted a perceptible increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of 549% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X units in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, electroplating machine imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Overall, imports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The level of import peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

Taiwan (Chinese) was the major importing country with an import of about X units, which reached 75% of total imports.
