In value terms, nonwoven fabric exports fell to $X in 2022. Total exports indicated prominent growth from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +5.6% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports decreased by -17.9% against 2020 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when exports increased by 42%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

China prevails in exports structure, reaching X tons, which was near 85% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Japan (X tons) and Taiwan (Chinese) (X tons), together mixing up an 11% share of total exports. South Korea (X tons) took a minor share of total exports.

China was also the fastest-growing in terms of the nonwoven fabrics exports, with a CAGR of +9.6% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Japan (+5.3%) displayed positive paces of growth. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports decreased by -15.7% against 2020 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 when imports increased by 19%.
