China was also the fastest-growing in terms of the padlocks, locks and keys of base metal exports, with a CAGR of +5.9% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, South Korea (+2.9%) and Taiwan (Chinese) (+1.7%) displayed positive paces of growth. Export price indicated a tangible expansion from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.4% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, lock and key export price increased by +10.5% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when the export price increased by 51% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per ton. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
