China was also the fastest-growing in terms of the peas (dry) exports, with a CAGR of +14.6% from 2012 to 2021. Taiwan (Chinese) (-12.1%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. China (+45 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while Taiwan (Chinese) saw its share reduced by -22% from 2012 to 2021, respectively.
In value terms, China ($X) remains the largest dry peas supplier in Eastern Asia, comprising 80% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Taiwan (Chinese) ($X), with a 16% share of total exports.
In China, dry peas exports expanded at an average annual rate of +4.5% over the period from 2012-2021.
Export Prices by Country
In 2021, the export price in Eastern Asia amounted to $X per ton, which is down by -51.6% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price showed a abrupt decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 201% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X tons in 2020, and then contracted markedly in the following year.
In value terms, dry peas imports declined slightly to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, recorded a resilient increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 when imports increased by 50%. The level of import peaked at $X in 2020, and then reduced in the following year.

The countries with the highest levels of dry peas imports in 2021 were China (X tons), together recording 98% of total import.
China was also the fastest-growing in terms of the peas (dry) imports, with a CAGR of +14.1% from 2012 to 2021. While the share of China (+3.5 p.p.) increased significantly, the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
