For the sixth consecutive year, the East Asian pile-driver market recorded decline in sales value, which decreased by -2.9% to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, consumption, however, recorded a noticeable decrease. As a result, consumption reached the peak level of $X. From 2016 to 2021, the growth of the market remained at a lower figure.

In 2021, overseas shipments of pile-drivers and pile-extractors increased by 25% to X units, rising for the sixth year in a row after two years of decline. From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in China totaled +1.7%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Japan (-0.5% per year) and Taiwan (Chinese) (+23.8% per year).

In 2021, the export price in Eastern Asia amounted to $X per unit, which is down by -10.6% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price saw a deep downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 an increase of 25% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per unit. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when imports increased by 123%. The volume of import peaked in 2021 and is likely to see steady growth in years to come.

In value terms, pile-driver imports declined notably to $X in 2021. Total imports indicated a tangible expansion from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +3.4% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +14.4% against 2019 indices.
