From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main exporting countries, was attained by South Korea (with a CAGR of +12.2%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, South Korea ($X), China ($X) and Hong Kong SAR ($X) were the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2022, with a combined 97% share of total exports.

China, with a CAGR of +34.1%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, among the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The export price in Eastern Asia stood at $X per cubic meter in 2022, remaining constant against the previous year. In general, the export price showed strong growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 an increase of 58%. Over the period under review, the export prices attained the peak figure in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

China was the key importing country with an import of about X cubic meters, which accounted for 65% of total imports. Hong Kong SAR (X cubic meters) took a relatively small share of total imports.

China was also the fastest-growing in terms of the rare gases (excluding argon) imports, with a CAGR of +18.1% from 2012 to 2022.
