In 2021, the export price in Eastern Asia amounted to $X per unit, rising by 12% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, showed a deep reduction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when the export price increased by 53% against the previous year. There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was China ($X per unit), while South Korea ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

In 2021, the amount of root or tuber harvesting machines imported in Eastern Asia contracted rapidly to X units, falling by -27.8% against the year before. In general, imports faced a abrupt descent. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 64%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units. From 2018 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, harvesting machinery imports reduced notably to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports showed a deep setback. In terms of the main importing countries, Japan, with a CAGR of +5.0%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the imports figures.
