In value terms, saturated acyclic hydrocarbons imports surged to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports posted significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 163% against the previous year. The level of import peaked in 2022 and is likely to continue growth in years to come.

China prevails in imports structure, recording X tons, which was near 95% of total imports in 2022. Japan (X tons) took a relatively small share of total imports.

China was also the fastest-growing in terms of the saturated acyclic hydrocarbons imports, with a CAGR of +63.9% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Japan (+51.8%) displayed positive paces of growth.
