The volume of export peaked at X litres in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In Hong Kong SAR, grape wine spirits exports shrank by an average annual rate of -9.7% over the period from 2012-2022. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Taiwan (Chinese) (-5.1% per year) and China (+1.2% per year).

The export price in Eastern Asia stood at $X per litre in 2022, picking up by 6.3% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, showed a noticeable shrinkage. In general, imports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 24% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X litres in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, grape wine spirits imports contracted significantly to $X in 2022. Total imports indicated mild growth from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +1.1% over the last decade. Macao SAR experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. Japan (-3.7%), Taiwan (Chinese) (-4.2%) and Hong Kong SAR (-8.7%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period.
