Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, acid and mordant dye exports fell to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports, however, continue to indicate a resilient expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 when exports increased by 266% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Poland (X tons), Russia (X tons), Belarus (X tons), the Czech Republic (X tons) and Lithuania (X tons) represented roughly 93% of total exports in 2021. The following exporters - Hungary (X tons) and Romania (X tons) - each amounted to a 4.4% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main exporting countries, was attained by Belarus (with a CAGR of +23.3%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest acid and mordant dye supplying countries in Eastern Europe were Poland ($X), the Czech Republic ($X) and Russia ($X), together accounting for 70% of total exports. Lithuania, Hungary, Belarus and Romania lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 24%.

Among the main exporting countries, Hungary, with a CAGR of +17.1%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The export price in Eastern Europe stood at $X per ton in 2021, waning by -6.9% against the previous year. In general, the export price saw a noticeable shrinkage. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 an increase of 25%. Over the period under review, the export prices reached the peak figure at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: among the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Hungary ($X per ton), while Belarus ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

In general, imports recorded a abrupt curtailment. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by 26%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, acid and mordant dye imports rose notably to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of 55%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In terms of the main importing countries, Lithuania, with a CAGR of +6.6%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

In 2021, the import price in Eastern Europe amounted to $X per ton, rising by 11% against the previous year. Import price indicated strong growth from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +7.6% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, acid and mordant dye import price increased by +48.4% against 2017 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when the import price increased by 23% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import prices hit record highs in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: among the top importers, the country with the highest price was Poland ($X per ton), while Belarus ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
