From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Czech Republic (+2.1%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, after four years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas purchases of acoustic grand pianos, when their volume decreased by -18.9% to X tons. Total imports indicated mild growth from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +1.9% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +64.5% against 2016 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 with an increase of 25%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X tons in 2020, and then fell dramatically in the following year.
In value terms, grand piano imports contracted slightly to $X in 2021. Total imports indicated a noticeable increase from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +2.7% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports decreased by -5.9% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 when imports increased by 27% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2020 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
