Adipic Acid Market Size in Eastern Europe

Poland (+87 p.p.) and Lithuania (+7.1 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Poland ($X) remains the largest adipic acid supplier in Eastern Europe, comprising 95% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Lithuania ($X), with a 4.6% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value in Poland stood at +13.2%.

In 2022, the export price in Eastern Europe amounted to $X per ton, picking up by 13% against the previous year. Export price indicated a prominent expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +5.7% over the last decade. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 28% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

In value terms, adipic acid imports expanded notably to $X in 2022. In general, imports saw a resilient increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 84% against the previous year.
