The East European stationery market declined to $X in 2022, with a decrease of -5.8% against the previous year. Over the period under review, consumption showed a deep slump. The level of consumption peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, consumption remained at a lower figure.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the leading exporting countries, was attained by Hungary (with a CAGR of +10.8%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Poland ($X) remains the largest stationery supplier in Eastern Europe, comprising 50% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by the Czech Republic ($X), with an 18% share of total exports. It was followed by Estonia, with a 6.9% share.

In Poland, stationery exports increased at an average annual rate of +13.1% over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the Czech Republic (-0.7% per year) and Estonia (+1.9% per year).

The export price in Eastern Europe stood at $X per ton in 2022, rising by 1.7% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.1%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 11%. Over the period under review, the export prices attained the maximum in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.
