In 2022, overseas purchases of brakes and servo-brakes increased by 5.8% to X tons, rising for the second consecutive year after two years of decline. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +5.3% from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 18% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.

The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 an increase of 5.5% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
