The volume of export peaked at X tons in 2021, and then shrank rapidly in the following year.

In value terms, metal castor mounting exports fell to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, enjoyed prominent growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 34% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X, and then declined in the following year.

The Czech Republic (X tons) and Slovakia (X tons) represented roughly 72% of total exports in 2022. Poland (X tons) ranks next in terms of the total exports with a 14% share, followed by Lithuania (8.7%). Russia (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for the Czech Republic (with a CAGR of +17.2%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the export price in Eastern Europe amounted to $X per ton, growing by 13% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, saw a noticeable setback. Over the period under review, the export prices reached the peak figure at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Lithuania ($X per ton), while Russia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Lithuania (-1.4%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the export price figures.

After four years of growth, purchases abroad of castors with mountings of base metal decreased by -12.8% to X tons in 2022. Total imports indicated a perceptible increase from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +4.5% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +55.9% against 2012 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 24% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons, and then declined in the following year.

In value terms, metal castor mounting imports contracted notably to $X in 2022. Total imports indicated resilient growth from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +5.3% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +59.1% against 2015 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 39% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X, and then dropped dramatically in the following year.

In 2022, Russia (X tons) and Poland (X tons) were the key importers of castors with mountings of base metal in Eastern Europe, together committing 54% of total imports. The Czech Republic (X tons) took the next position in the ranking, distantly followed by Slovakia (X tons), Romania (X tons) and Lithuania (X tons). All these countries together took near 35% share of total imports. Ukraine (X tons) held a minor share of total imports.

In 2022, the import price in Eastern Europe amounted to $X per ton, reducing by -4.2% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 11%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per ton, and then contracted modestly in the following year.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Ukraine ($X per ton), while Russia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
