The export price in Eastern Europe stood at $X per ton in 2021, growing by 2.6% against the previous year. Overall, the export price enjoyed a significant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 when the export price increased by 128% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Poland ($X per ton), while the Czech Republic ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

In general, imports showed a abrupt decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 6.6%. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, imports of ceramic pipes, conduits, guttering and pipe fittings rose markedly to $X in 2021. Overall, imports saw a noticeable downturn. In 2021, the import price in Eastern Europe amounted to $X per ton, picking up by 11% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2021, it increased at an average annual rate of +4.1%. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when the import price increased by 17% against the previous year. The level of import peaked in 2021 and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Romania ($X per ton), while Latvia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
