Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded notable growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when imports increased by 63% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, non-wheat cereal pellets imports declined markedly to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, posted a strong increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 88%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

The countries with the highest levels of non-wheat cereal pellets imports in 2021 were Slovakia (X tons), Romania (X tons) and the Czech Republic (X tons), together amounting to 92% of total import. Poland (X tons) held a little share of total imports.
