Russia dominates exports structure, finishing at X units, which was near 92% of total exports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Poland (X units), creating a 7.9% share of total exports.

Exports from Russia increased at an average annual rate of +13.4% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Poland (+58.9%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Poland emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Eastern Europe, with a CAGR of +58.9% from 2012-2021. Poland (+7.5 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while Russia saw its share reduced by -7.5% from 2012 to 2021, respectively.

In value terms, Russia ($X) remains the largest civil reaction engine supplier in Eastern Europe, comprising 98% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Poland ($X), with a 1.3% share of total exports.

Export Prices by Country

The export price in Eastern Europe stood at $X per unit in 2021, picking up by 111% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, faced a abrupt downturn. Over the period under review, the export prices hit record highs at $X per unit in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($X per unit), while Poland stood at $X per unit.

It was distantly followed by Hungary (X units), Russia (X units) and Slovakia (X units), together committing a 46% share of total imports. Poland (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Imports into the Czech Republic increased at an average annual rate of +17.1% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Slovakia (+37.1%), Hungary (+18.4%) and Russia (+14.3%) displayed positive paces of growth. In value terms, Russia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported civil reaction engines in Eastern Europe, comprising 56% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Slovakia ($X), with a 12% share of total imports. It was followed by Hungary, with a 5.2% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Russia totaled +4.1%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Slovakia (+24.8% per year) and Hungary (+0.5% per year).
