Concrete Pump Market Size in Eastern Europe

The East European concrete pump market rose remarkably to $X in 2021, increasing by 11% against the previous year. In general, consumption, however, showed a noticeable setback. As a result, consumption attained the peak level of $X. From 2014 to 2021, the growth of the market remained at a lower figure.

Exports in Eastern Europe

For the sixth year in a row, Eastern Europe recorded growth in shipments abroad of concrete pumps, which increased by 57% to X units in 2021. Over the period under review, exports showed a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 61%. The volume of export peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.

In value terms, concrete pump exports soared to $X in 2021. In general, exports showed mild growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 86%. The level of export peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Exports by Country

Poland (X units) and Belarus (X units) represented roughly 67% of total exports in 2021. Russia (X units) took the next position in the ranking, followed by Lithuania (X units) and the Czech Republic (X units). All these countries together took approx. 26% share of total exports. The following exporters - Slovakia (X units) and Bulgaria (X units) - each resulted at a 4% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the key exporting countries, was attained by the Czech Republic (with a CAGR of +39.5%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest concrete pump supplying countries in Eastern Europe were Belarus ($X), Poland ($X) and Russia ($X), together comprising 75% of total exports. Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria and Slovakia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 18%.

The Czech Republic, with a CAGR of +38.2%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, among the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Export Prices by Country

In 2021, the export price in Eastern Europe amounted to $X per unit, with an increase of 12% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a abrupt curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 an increase of 21% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Bulgaria ($X per unit), while Poland ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Czech Republic (-0.9%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the export price figures.

Imports in Eastern Europe

Concrete pump imports soared to X units in 2021, rising by 66% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports recorded a notable expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 257%. The volume of import peaked at X units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, concrete pump imports rose markedly to $X in 2021. Overall, imports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 37% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

Imports by Country

In 2021, Slovakia (X units), Belarus (X units), Romania (X units), Russia (X units), Poland (X units) and the Czech Republic (X units) represented the largest importer of concrete pumps in Eastern Europe, committing 91% of total import. It was distantly followed by Ukraine (X units), generating a 5.6% share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Slovakia (with a CAGR of +29.5%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Russia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported concrete pumps in Eastern Europe, comprising 52% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Romania ($X), with a 12% share of total imports. It was followed by Belarus, with an 8.5% share.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($X per unit), while Slovakia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
