Poland (X units) and Belarus (X units) represented the major exporters of truck cranes in 2021, accounting for approx. 38% and 34% of total exports, respectively. The Czech Republic (X units) held the next position in the ranking, followed by Hungary (X units). All these countries together took near 17% share of total exports. The following exporters - Russia (X units) and Romania (X units) - together made up 6.7% of total exports.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the key exporting countries, was attained by Poland (with a CAGR of +12.8%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Russia ($X), Belarus ($X) and Poland ($X) constituted the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2021, together accounting for 84% of total exports. The Czech Republic, Hungary and Romania lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 13%.

The Czech Republic, with a CAGR of +14.5%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, in terms of the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The export price in Eastern Europe stood at $X per unit in 2021, rising by 5.4% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when the export price increased by 35%. The level of export peaked in 2021 and is likely to see gradual growth in years to come.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($X per unit), while Hungary ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

Imports into Russia decreased at an average annual rate of -1.4% from 2012 to 2021. Moreover, Hungary emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Eastern Europe, with a CAGR of +62.0% from 2012-2021. Bulgaria experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. From 2012 to 2021, the share of Ukraine, Poland and Hungary increased by +8.3, +8.3 and +5 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Russia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported truck cranes in Eastern Europe, comprising 52% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Poland ($X), with a 17% share of total imports. It was followed by the Czech Republic, with an 8.4% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Russia amounted to -2.7%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Poland (+8.6% per year) and the Czech Republic (+17.4% per year).

In 2021, the import price in Eastern Europe amounted to $X per unit, waning by -2.5% against the previous year. Overall, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 an increase of 15%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per unit. From 2015 to 2021, the import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($X per unit), while Hungary ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
