In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a slight contraction. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, diphosphorus pentaoxide imports soared to $X in 2022. Overall, imports posted prominent growth. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Imports by Country

Poland represented the main importing country with an import of around X tons, which recorded 71% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Russia (X tons), constituting a 23% share of total imports. Ukraine (X tons) and Latvia (X tons) took a relatively small share of total imports.

Poland was also the fastest-growing in terms of the diphosphorus pentaoxide imports, with a CAGR of +59.8% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Russia (+2.6%) displayed positive paces of growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 when the import price increased by 108%. Over the period under review, import prices hit record highs at $X per ton in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Ukraine ($X per ton), while Russia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Latvia (+19.9%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
