In 2021, Belarus (X tons) and Poland (X tons) represented the key exporters of domestic, non-electric, cooking or heating appliances in Eastern Europe, together amounting to near 65% of total exports. The Czech Republic (X tons) took an 8.9% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by Russia (6.5%) and Ukraine (4.9%). The following exporters - Slovakia (X tons) and Romania (X tons) - each finished at an 8.7% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main exporting countries, was attained by Russia (with a CAGR of +14.5%), while the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the exports figures.
In value terms, Belarus ($X), Poland ($X) and Slovakia ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2021, with a combined 71% share of total exports. The Czech Republic, Russia, Romania and Ukraine lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 23%.
Russia, with a CAGR of +17.5%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, in terms of the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the export price in Eastern Europe amounted to $X per ton, with an increase of 7.8% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when the export price increased by 8.8% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export prices hit record highs in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably country of origin: the country with the highest price was Slovakia ($X per ton), while Ukraine ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, imports of domestic, non-electric, cooking or heating appliances soared to $X in 2021. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +1.2% from 2012 to 2021; the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In 2021, Russia (X tons) was the main importer of domestic, non-electric, cooking or heating appliances, achieving 40% of total imports. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Russia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported domestic, non-electric, cooking or heating appliances in Eastern Europe, comprising 40% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Poland ($X), with a 15% share of total imports. It was followed by Romania, with a 15% share.
In Russia, imports of domestic, non-electric, cooking or heating appliances shrank by an average annual rate of -3.3% over the period from 2012-2021. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Poland (+6.2% per year) and Romania (+10.9% per year).
