As a result, the exports attained the peak of X units. From 2019 to 2021, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, agricultural product dryer exports surged to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports saw tangible growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 93%. From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Poland amounted to +6.3%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Russia (+10.3% per year) and Lithuania (+15.5% per year).

The export price in Eastern Europe stood at $X per unit in 2021, picking up by 5.4% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a slight decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when the export price increased by 49%. Over the period under review, the export prices reached the peak figure at $X per unit in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Poland ($X per unit), while Russia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+1.7%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the export price figures.

Imports in Eastern Europe

In 2021, the amount of dryers for the treatment of agricultural products imported in Eastern Europe soared to X units, rising by 63% on the year before. In general, imports showed a strong increase. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, agricultural product dryer imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Overall, imports, however, showed a mild setback. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

Imports by Country

The purchases of the four major importers of dryers for the treatment of agricultural products, namely Lithuania, Poland, Ukraine and Russia, represented more than two-thirds of total import. Romania (X units) ranks next in terms of the total imports with a 10% share, followed by Hungary (7.3%). Belarus (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Hungary, with a CAGR of +11.4%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the import price in Eastern Europe amounted to $X per unit, with a decrease of -12.2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a deep reduction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 when the import price increased by 8.5% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per unit. From 2014 to 2021, the import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Ukraine ($X per unit), while Belarus ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Ukraine (-1.8%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the import price figures.
