In the Czech Republic, endless machinery band exports increased at an average annual rate of +1.9% over the period from 2012-2021. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Lithuania (+4.2% per year) and Poland (-10.5% per year).

In 2021, the export price in Eastern Europe amounted to $X per square meter, rising by 9% against the previous year. In 2021, overseas purchases of endless bands for machinery, of stainless steel were finally on the rise to reach X square meters for the first time since 2018, thus ending a two-year declining trend. Over the period under review, imports showed a strong increase. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, endless machinery band imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Total imports indicated pronounced growth from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +4.6% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Hungary, with a CAGR of +20.1%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

The import price in Eastern Europe stood at $X per square meter in 2021, falling by -31.7% against the previous year. Overall, the import price recorded a slight setback. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 an increase of 47%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per square meter. From 2017 to 2021, the import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Russia ($X per square meter), while Estonia ($X per square meter) was amongst the lowest.
