In 2022, Poland (X tons) was the largest exporter of first-aid boxes and kits, mixing up 62% of total exports. Bulgaria (X tons) took the second position in the ranking, followed by Lithuania (X tons) and the Czech Republic (X tons). All these countries together took approx. 28% share of total exports. Russia (X tons), Hungary (X tons) and Slovakia (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Exports from Poland increased at an average annual rate of +10.1% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Lithuania (+57.9%), Hungary (+25.1%), Russia (+15.5%) and Bulgaria (+15.0%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Lithuania emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Eastern Europe, with a CAGR of +57.9% from 2012-2022. By contrast, the Czech Republic (-8.6%) and Slovakia (-9.1%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Poland (+13 p.p.), Lithuania (+8.9 p.p.), Bulgaria (+6.9 p.p.) and Russia (+2 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while Slovakia and the Czech Republic saw its share reduced by -6.7% and -19.9% from 2012 to 2022, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Poland ($X) remains the largest first-aid kit supplier in Eastern Europe, comprising 61% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Bulgaria ($X), with a 9.1% share of total exports. It was followed by Lithuania, with an 8.3% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value in Poland totaled +16.6%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Bulgaria (+10.6% per year) and Lithuania (+69.8% per year).

Export Prices by Country

In 2022, the export price in Eastern Europe amounted to $X per ton, with an increase of 2.1% against the previous year. Export price indicated a measured expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +3.3% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, first-aid kit export price decreased by -4.9% against 2018 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when the export price increased by 55% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2019 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
