In 2022, Poland (X tons), distantly followed by Romania (X tons), Belarus (X tons), Lithuania (X tons), the Czech Republic (X tons), Ukraine (X tons), Bulgaria (X tons) and Moldova (X tons) were the largest exporters of fruit flour, together achieving 96% of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Poland (with a CAGR of +87.9%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Poland ($X) remains the largest fruit flour supplier in Eastern Europe, comprising 48% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by the Czech Republic ($X), with a 12% share of total exports. It was followed by Lithuania, with a 10% share.

Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, fruit flour imports shrank notably to $X in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +2.0% from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 51%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X, and then fell notably in the following year.

In 2022, Russia (X tons), distantly followed by Poland (X tons), Romania (X tons), the Czech Republic (X tons), Lithuania (X tons), Hungary (X tons) and Belarus (X tons) represented the main importers of fruit flour, together committing 90% of total imports.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the leading importing countries, was attained by Belarus (with a CAGR of +44.2%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Russia ($X), Poland ($X) and the Czech Republic ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2022, together comprising 65% of total imports.

Among the main importing countries, Poland, with a CAGR of +28.2%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The import price in Eastern Europe stood at $X per ton in 2022, dropping by -11.8% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, posted a strong increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 an increase of 240%. The level of import peaked at $X per ton in 2021, and then shrank in the following year.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($X per ton), while Belarus ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
