In 2021, after two years of growth, there was significant decline in the East European liquid fuel furnace burner market, when its value decreased by -28.3% to $X. Over the period under review, consumption, however, posted mild growth. As a result, consumption attained the peak level of $X, and then contracted rapidly in the following year.

In value terms, liquid fuel furnace burner production shrank rapidly to $X in 2021 estimated in export price. In general, production, however, continues to indicate mild growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 174% against the previous year. As a result, production attained the peak level of $X, and then shrank remarkably in the following year.

Liquid fuel furnace burner exports surged to X tons in 2021, rising by 23% on the previous year's figure. Overall, exports, however, continue to indicate a mild downturn. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, liquid fuel furnace burner exports surged to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports posted a buoyant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when exports increased by 113% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Exports by Country
Poland represented the key exporter of furnace burners for liquid fuel in Eastern Europe, with the volume of exports reaching X tons, which was near 49% of total exports in 2021. Russia (X tons) took a 12% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by Latvia (11%), Belarus (7.1%), Lithuania (6.5%) and the Czech Republic (6.3%). Ukraine (X tons) took a relatively small share of total exports.
Poland was also the fastest-growing in terms of the furnace burners for liquid fuel exports, with a CAGR of +42.4% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Latvia (+20.1%) displayed positive paces of growth. Russia experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, the Czech Republic (-5.1%), Ukraine (-5.8%), Belarus (-10.0%) and Lithuania (-14.7%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Poland (+48 p.p.) and Latvia (+8.7 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2021, the share of the Czech Republic (-2.6 p.p.), Belarus (-9.1 p.p.) and Lithuania (-17.5 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Poland ($X) remains the largest liquid fuel furnace burner supplier in Eastern Europe, comprising 73% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Russia ($X), with an 8.7% share of total exports. It was followed by the Czech Republic, with a 4.6% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Poland stood at +54.9%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Russia (+9.3% per year) and the Czech Republic (-8.6% per year).
Export Prices by Country
In 2021, the export price in Eastern Europe amounted to $X per ton, rising by 4% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price recorded a buoyant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when the export price increased by 84%. The level of export peaked in 2021 and is likely to see steady growth in years to come.
Prices varied noticeably country of origin: the country with the highest price was Poland ($X per ton), while Ukraine ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Latvia (+13.2%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports in Eastern Europe
In 2021, approx. X tons of furnace burners for liquid fuel were imported in Eastern Europe; increasing by 27% compared with the previous year. In general, imports, however, recorded a noticeable downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when imports increased by 61%. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, liquid fuel furnace burner imports soared to $X in 2021. Overall, imports saw a temperate increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when imports increased by 77%. The level of import peaked at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
Russia (X tons) and Poland (X tons) dominates imports structure, together creating 77% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Romania (X tons), making up a 6.2% share of total imports. The following importers - Belarus (X tons), Ukraine (X tons) and Latvia (X tons) - together made up 11% of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main importing countries, was attained by Poland (with a CAGR of +14.3%), while imports for the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the imports figures.
In value terms, Poland ($X), Russia ($X) and Romania ($X) constituted the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2021, with a combined 90% share of total imports.
Among the main importing countries, Poland, with a CAGR of +25.1%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced a decline in the imports figures.
Import Prices by Country
In 2021, the import price in Eastern Europe amounted to $X per ton, picking up by 3.9% against the previous year. Overall, the import price recorded a remarkable increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 an increase of 47% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import prices reached the peak figure in 2021 and is likely to see gradual growth in the near future.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Poland ($X per ton), while Belarus ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
