Over the period under review, exports saw a noticeable setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when exports increased by 51%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of X units. From 2019 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, refrigerator or freezer exports fell markedly to $X in 2022. Overall, exports showed a perceptible decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 24% against the previous year. Russia dominates exports structure, accounting for X units, which was approx. 89% of total exports in 2022. The Czech Republic (X units), Poland (X units) and Bulgaria (X units) held a little share of total exports.

Overall, imports faced a abrupt descent. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when imports increased by 21% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X units in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, refrigerator or freezer imports declined to $X in 2022. In general, imports saw a deep downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 with an increase of 38%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2022, Belarus (X units), distantly followed by Russia (X units), the Czech Republic (X units) and Romania (X units) represented the largest importers of furniture designed to receive refrigerating or freezing equipment, together achieving 72% of total imports. The following importers - Bulgaria (X units), Ukraine (X units), Hungary (X units), Latvia (X units), Slovakia (X units), Lithuania (X units) and Estonia (X units) - together made up 26% of total imports.
