The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 39% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of X units, and then fell in the following year.
In value terms, hydraulic jack exports dropped to $X in 2022. Total exports indicated a resilient expansion from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +5.1% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +33.4% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 38%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X, and then fell slightly in the following year.

In 2022, Poland (X units), distantly followed by Romania (X units), Belarus (X units), the Czech Republic (X units), Russia (X units) and Slovakia (X units) represented the main exporters of hydraulic jacks and hoists for raising vehicles, together constituting 91% of total exports. Bulgaria (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Romania (with a CAGR of +46.4%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Poland ($X), Romania ($X) and the Czech Republic ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2022, together accounting for 73% of total exports. Russia, Belarus, Bulgaria and Slovakia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 21%.
Bulgaria, with a CAGR of +29.4%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, in terms of the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The export price in Eastern Europe stood at $X per unit in 2022, with an increase of 3.8% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 an increase of 6.3% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X per unit in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Romania ($X per unit), while Belarus ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+7.8%), while the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the export price figures.

In 2022, the amount of hydraulic jacks and hoists for raising vehicles imported in Eastern Europe surged to X units, rising by 68% on 2021. In general, imports showed a strong expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 with an increase of 143%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, hydraulic jack imports fell to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 35% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X, and then reduced in the following year.
Imports by Country
In 2022, Russia (X units) was the largest importer of hydraulic jacks and hoists for raising vehicles, committing 51% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Poland (X units), the Czech Republic (X units) and Belarus (X units), together creating a 34% share of total imports. Romania (X units), Slovakia (X units), Hungary (X units) and Bulgaria (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.
Russia was also the fastest-growing in terms of the hydraulic jacks and hoists for raising vehicles imports, with a CAGR of +25.5% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Belarus (+17.5%), Poland (+10.9%), Bulgaria (+6.8%), the Czech Republic (+5.0%) and Slovakia (+1.1%) displayed positive paces of growth. Russia (+37 p.p.), Belarus (+2.3 p.p.) and Poland (+1.7 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania saw its share reduced by -3.4%, -3.8%, -12% and -18.3% from 2012 to 2022, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, the largest hydraulic jack importing markets in Eastern Europe were Poland ($X), Russia ($X) and the Czech Republic ($X), with a combined 73% share of total imports. Slovakia, Romania, Hungary, Belarus and Bulgaria lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 19%.
Among the main importing countries, Bulgaria, with a CAGR of +15.3%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The import price in Eastern Europe stood at $X per unit in 2022, reducing by -43.5% against the previous year. Overall, the import price saw a deep slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 an increase of 98% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Slovakia ($X per unit), while Belarus ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Bulgaria (+8.0%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
