The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +71.9% against 2016 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 64% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of X units, and then contracted markedly in the following year.
In value terms, metal liquid fuel appliances exports contracted markedly to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, continue to indicate strong growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 63% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X, and then dropped sharply in the following year.
Exports by Country
Poland represented the major exporting country with an export of around X units, which amounted to 79% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Hungary (X units), generating a 10% share of total exports. The Czech Republic (X units) and Russia (X units) held a little share of total exports.
Poland was also the fastest-growing in terms of the iron or steel liquid fuel domestic appliances exports, with a CAGR of +17.5% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, the Czech Republic (+11.7%) displayed positive paces of growth. By contrast, Russia (-6.9%) and Hungary (-12.7%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Poland (+57 p.p.) and the Czech Republic (+2.2 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2022, the share of Russia (-6.1 p.p.) and Hungary (-46.6 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.

In Poland, metal liquid fuel appliances exports expanded at an average annual rate of +18.2% over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Hungary (-9.3% per year) and Russia (-2.0% per year).
Export Prices by Country
In 2022, the export price in Eastern Europe amounted to $X per unit, rising by 7.7% against the previous year. Export price indicated a prominent expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +6.4% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, metal liquid fuel appliances export price increased by +62.2% against 2013 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 an increase of 29% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export prices attained the peak figure in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Poland ($X per unit), while the Czech Republic ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

In 2022, imports of iron or steel liquid fuel domestic appliances in Eastern Europe soared to X units, with an increase of 16% against the previous year. Overall, imports enjoyed a buoyant increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 295% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked in 2022 and is likely to continue growth in the near future.
In value terms, metal liquid fuel appliances imports stood at $X in 2022. In general, imports posted a prominent increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 155%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in the near future.
Imports by Country
In 2022, Poland (X units) was the largest importer of iron or steel liquid fuel domestic appliances, comprising 45% of total imports. Russia (X units) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a 19% share, followed by Belarus (8.6%), the Czech Republic (8.2%), Ukraine (6.4%) and Estonia (5%). The following importers - Romania (X units) and Hungary (X units) - each resulted at a 4.4% share of total imports.
Imports into Poland increased at an average annual rate of +24.0% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Belarus (+24.2%), Estonia (+18.8%), Ukraine (+16.3%), Hungary (+13.8%), Russia (+12.5%) and Romania (+6.0%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Belarus emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Eastern Europe, with a CAGR of +24.2% from 2012-2022. By contrast, the Czech Republic (-4.3%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Poland (+29 p.p.), Belarus (+5.6 p.p.), Estonia (+2.3 p.p.) and Ukraine (+2.1 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Romania and the Czech Republic saw its share reduced by -1.7% and -30.6% from 2012 to 2022, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Poland ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported iron or steel liquid fuel domestic appliances in Eastern Europe, comprising 39% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Estonia ($X), with a 13% share of total imports. It was followed by Russia, with a 12% share.
In Poland, metal liquid fuel appliances imports expanded at an average annual rate of +22.3% over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Estonia (+31.7% per year) and Russia (+1.1% per year).
Import Prices by Country
In 2022, the import price in Eastern Europe amounted to $X per unit, reducing by -3.5% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 an increase of 46%. Over the period under review, import prices reached the peak figure at $X per unit in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Estonia ($X per unit), while Belarus ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
