Belarus was the largest exporting country with an export of about X tons, which reached 51% of total exports. The Czech Republic (X tons) took the second position in the ranking, followed by Poland (X tons), Hungary (X tons) and Bulgaria (X tons). All these countries together took near 36% share of total exports. The following exporters - Slovakia (X tons) and Russia (X tons) - each finished at a 6.9% share of total exports.

Belarus was also the fastest-growing in terms of the knitted or crocheted fabrics exports, with a CAGR of +41.4% from 2012 to 2021. Belarus (+45 p.p.), Bulgaria (+2.3 p.p.) and Russia (+2 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while Poland, Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic saw its share reduced by -5%, -5%, -5.7% and -11.2% from 2012 to 2021, respectively.

In value terms, the largest knitted fabric supplying countries in Eastern Europe were Poland ($X), the Czech Republic ($X) and Belarus ($X), together comprising 51% of total exports. Hungary, Slovakia, Bulgaria and Russia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 34%.

Russia, with a CAGR of +23.2%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, among the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
