In 2021, Ukraine (X square meters), Belarus (X square meters), the Czech Republic (X square meters) and Russia (X square meters) represented the key importer of linoleum in Eastern Europe, generating 77% of total import. It was distantly followed by Hungary (X square meters), creating a 5.9% share of total imports. Romania (X square meters), Slovakia (X square meters) and Poland (X square meters) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Among the main importing countries, Slovakia, with a CAGR of +25.4%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

In 2021, the import price in Eastern Europe amounted to $X per square meter, rising by 26% against the previous year. Overall, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, import prices attained the peak figure at $X per square meter in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Hungary ($X per square meter), while Ukraine ($X per square meter) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Romania (+10.2%), while the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the import price figures.
