It was distantly followed by Latvia (X units) and the Czech Republic (X units), together generating a 13% share of total exports. The following exporters - Slovakia (X units), Russia (X units), Romania (X units) and Lithuania (X units) - together made up 8.3% of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the key exporting countries, was attained by Latvia (with a CAGR of +104.7%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Estonia ($X), Poland ($X) and Russia ($X) were the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2021, with a combined 67% share of total exports. These countries were followed by the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Latvia, Slovakia and Romania, which together accounted for a further 26%.
Latvia, with a CAGR of +63.4%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, in terms of the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Export Prices by Country
The export price in Eastern Europe stood at $X per unit in 2021, dropping by -36.7% against the previous year. Overall, the export price continues to indicate a noticeable slump. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when the export price increased by 85%. Over the period under review, the export prices attained the maximum at $X per unit in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Russia ($X per unit), while Poland ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Slovakia (+17.1%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, after two years of growth, there was significant decline in supplies from abroad of machines for electroplating, electrolysis or electrophoresis, when their volume decreased by -22.8% to X units. Over the period under review, imports, however, posted a buoyant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 92% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X units, and then shrank dramatically in the following year.
In value terms, electroplating machine imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. In general, imports recorded a mild decrease. The level of import peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

The purchases of the three major importers of machines for electroplating, electrolysis or electrophoresis, namely Russia, Estonia and Slovakia, represented more than half of total import. It was distantly followed by Poland (X units), Ukraine (X units) and the Czech Republic (X units), together mixing up a 23% share of total imports. Bulgaria (X units) held a little share of total imports.
