Mannequin Market Size in Eastern Europe

The East European mannequin market dropped to $X in 2022, shrinking by -9% against the previous year. In general, consumption, however, recorded a abrupt setback. Over the period under review, the market attained the peak level at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, consumption remained at a lower figure.

Mannequin Production in Eastern Europe

In value terms, mannequin production fell modestly to $X in 2022 estimated in export price. Over the period under review, production, however, continues to indicate a abrupt curtailment. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of 29%. As a result, production attained the peak level of $X. From 2014 to 2022, production growth failed to regain momentum.

Exports in Eastern Europe

In 2022, overseas shipments of mannequins were finally on the rise to reach X tons after two years of decline. In general, exports, however, showed a pronounced reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 13%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, mannequin exports declined to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, showed a pronounced shrinkage. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 with an increase of 59%. The level of export peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Exports by Country

The Czech Republic represented the major exporter of mannequins in Eastern Europe, with the volume of exports resulting at X tons, which was near 32% of total exports in 2022. Poland (X tons) held a 16% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by Slovakia (14%), Russia (11%), Belarus (9.4%) and Hungary (9.2%). Lithuania (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

The Czech Republic experienced a relatively flat trend pattern with regard to volume of exports of mannequins. At the same time, Lithuania (+16.1%) and Belarus (+4.3%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Lithuania emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Eastern Europe, with a CAGR of +16.1% from 2012-2022. Poland and Russia experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Hungary (-3.6%) and Slovakia (-9.1%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. The Czech Republic (+7.6 p.p.), Belarus (+4.4 p.p.), Lithuania (+3.3 p.p.) and Poland (+3.1 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while Hungary and Slovakia saw its share reduced by -1.5% and -15.6% from 2012 to 2022, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the largest mannequin supplying countries in Eastern Europe were the Czech Republic ($X), Russia ($X) and Hungary ($X), with a combined 76% share of total exports. Poland, Belarus, Lithuania and Slovakia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 21%.

In terms of the main exporting countries, Lithuania, with a CAGR of +20.5%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Export Prices by Country

The export price in Eastern Europe stood at $X per ton in 2022, falling by -15.2% against the previous year. In general, the export price saw a perceptible decline. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 an increase of 48%. The level of export peaked at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($X per ton), while Slovakia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+17.2%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports in Eastern Europe

In 2022, approx. X tons of mannequins were imported in Eastern Europe; declining by -12.5% on the previous year. Overall, imports showed a slight contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 with an increase of 35%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, mannequin imports reduced notably to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, posted a moderate increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 98%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2021, and then declined rapidly in the following year.

Imports by Country

In 2022, Russia (X tons), distantly followed by Poland (X tons), Hungary (X tons), Belarus (X tons), Romania (X tons), the Czech Republic (X tons), Ukraine (X tons) and Slovakia (X tons) were the largest importers of mannequins, together generating 92% of total imports.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Belarus (with a CAGR of +15.2%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Russia ($X), Belarus ($X) and Poland ($X) were the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2022, with a combined 63% share of total imports.

Belarus, with a CAGR of +32.4%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

The import price in Eastern Europe stood at $X per ton in 2022, falling by -5.8% against the previous year. Import price indicated a prominent expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +5.7% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, mannequin import price increased by +1.6% against 2018 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 an increase of 47% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import prices hit record highs at $X per ton in 2021, and then shrank in the following year.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Belarus ($X per ton), while Ukraine ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
